FAQ

Are you a content creator?

Yes, I create content for humanities courses in middle and high school classrooms and produce videos about museums, libraries, books, and philosophy. I have been doing this since around 2005.

What else can be found on Stones of Erasmus?

A miscellany of my lit-crit, film reviews, images, creative writings, and notes, mainly so I can put 'em somewhere instead of on my shelf where no one can read 'em.

What is "Stones of Erasmus"?

At my alma mater, K.U. Leuven in Belgium (the same university the Catholic Counter-Reformation writer Erasmus attended), we would banter on the way to class, "If only the stones could talk," or "What would the stones of Erasmus say?" The moniker stuck, and I use it to imagine blog entries like talking stones.

Can I write for this site?

I am looking for competent, creative writers. I can not pay now, but you maintain ownership of your work and can remove the content you produce for this site anytime. If interested in being a regular contributor, please contact me. Provide a CV, a bio, and what you want to contribute. I'm looking for movie reviewers, book reviewers, and pop culture critics.

Is the content on Stones of Erasmus protected by copyright?

Content on stonesoferasmus.com is protected under a Creative Commons license and must be appropriately attributed to the copyright holder. Premium content (stuff you buy on my store, like lessons, et cetera, are licenses so please respect my work and don't re-sell my stuff).

Can I use your stuff?

Please attribute the content to Greig Roselli if you use my free stuff. Write a review. Comment on my posts. Email your friends and co-workers about Stones of Erasmus. I am a super niche creator and I make a few pennies a year doing this passion project. So, when you purchase my stuff, it is a single-user license, so be a good deed doer and purchase multiple licenses if you are buying for more than one person, or multiple teachers or folks.

What if I want to sell your content?

Content cannot be used for commercial purposes without permission.

Yes and no. The downloads include a fully editable Google Slides™ link, and if this listing has a Google Docs component, that file is also 100 % editable. They also include a PDF master packet. You can copy the slides, tweak prompts, reorder activities, or translate directions to suit your learners.
