While I agree with my mother that boredom can be bad, it's the other side of boredom -- the positive side of boredom -- that interests creative types. And yes! When it's an intense project and creativity is a must, sometimes a little bit of nothing goes a long way. I too am a great lover of solitude. But I never thought of boredom before as anything positive and I don't even think I've used the word to apply to myself anytime in many years. Boredom as leisure was a new reading reading into the idea for me. I almost want to take time after these projects I am doing to have to do nothing. I think it would be good for the tabula rasa for the creative brain to think of a new approach. <br /><br />It is a nasty business indeed. I concur.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
